University of Lethbridge Summer Camps

Horns Recreation is proud to provide a wide variety of week long summer camps for youth ages 6 - 18 yrs old. Camps include; Aquatic, Art, Badminton, Basketball, Climbing, Drama, Fencing, Mountain Bike, outdoor Adventure Youth, Multi-Activity, Ringette, Soccer and Track & Field. There is sure to be something for everyone in the family.

Max Bell Aquatic Centre

The Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre hosts many of the community’s competitive swim clubs and water sport related clubs in Lethbridge, including the LA Swim Club (LASC), Masters Swim Club, Lethbridge Synchrobelles, Lethbridge Dive Club, Lethbridge Special Olympics and others.

Stan Siwik Family Pool

The Stan Siwik Family Pool was constructed in 1974. Originally designed for synchronized swimming and diving programs, the pool has a rectangular 6 lane and 25 metre tank. There are two diving boards in full operation. A hot tub and fitness area were added during extensive renovations.

The Pool offers programs in condition swimming, open swim, aquajog, and other public programs such as senior, family and parent and tot swims. It also caters to school programs and swimming lessons during the winter season.

Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre

The Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre was constructed on the West Side of Lethbridge in 1982 and it includes a swimming pool and one sheet of ice. The Gyro Spray Park is located behind the Leisure Centre. The pool is rectangular in shape, 25 meters long with two slides and a rope. There is also a wading pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness area equipped with appropriate equipment. The emphasis in this facility is on a total family leisure concept and it caters mostly to the young.

Special Olympics Alberta’s mission is to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectual disability through sport. The vision is to provide individuals with an intellectual disability, of all ages and abilities, opportunity to realize their full athletic potential, with appropriate training, coaching and competitions, to develop life skills, a healthy body and self esteem.. Special Olympics Lethbridge provides this through the various sports programs we offer: 5-Pin Bowling; 10-Pin Bowling; Basketball, Bocce, Curling, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Golf, Powerlifting, Rythmic Gymnastics,Softball, Swimming, and Walking.

Henderson Pool

This completely redone outdoor pool includes 2 waterslides, the Rotary Spray Park, a climbing wall, diving board, zero depth entry, and more!  Fun for all ages, there is a lot of grassy area to relax on and a concession in case you forgot to pack your own food.

Fritz Sick Pool

Located within the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization building, a multipurpose 56,200 square foot senior centre located in the heart of the city. It is designed to be the community focal point on aging where older persons as individuals or in groups can come together for services, activities and sociability. The pool caters mostly to seniors and young children, with some adult programs such as conditioning swim. The pool is owned by the City of Lethbridge, but operated by a third party service provider.
