Healthy Eating Resources

The Alberta Healthy Living Program (AHLP) is an integrated community-based chronic disease management program.

The program includes the following services:

• Patient education, including disease-specific and general health and lifestyle topics 
• Self-management support through Better Choices, Better Health™ workshops, tools and messaging 
• Supervised exercises (facility- or home-based)

Services may also include specialty services and services targeting diverse and vulnerable populations.  Group sessions are available on various topics including heart health, weight management, label reading and healthy cooking.

Healthy Eating Starts Here: Steps to a Healthier You helps Albertans understand what it means to eat healthy and how to make personal changes in their eating habits where they live, work, learn or play.
