Calling all Kindergarten through Grade 9 teachers in Alberta who are teaching the Health and Life Skills/Physical Education and Wellness curricula in fall 2024. Lesson plans for Kindergarten through Grade 9 will be available to teachers, as part of a pilot project.
As you plan for the upcoming year, AHS Nutrition Services is pleased to share that lesson plans developed as a result of invaluable input of teachers across Alberta will be available for you to pilot in your classroom.
In consultation with the Body Image Research Lab at the University of Calgary's Werklund School of Education we have Health and Wellness pilot lesson plans related to Food, Nutrition, and Body image available for Kindergarten through Grade 9 teachers across Alberta. We plan to launch the pilot in September.
As part of this work, we have also developed a new forum for you to engage with AHS Nutrition Services.
Together4Health is AHS' online platform, where Albertans can have their say on various healthcare topics. Through the page you can receive updates on resources available to teachers, and you will be able to participate in initiatives such as our lesson plan pilot.
Please click here to subscribe to receive these updates and to access the lesson plan. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time if you find that these updates are not valuable.
Please share this link with your colleagues. AHS Nutrition Services is committed to providing support and resources to as many hard-working Alberta teachers as possible!
Please complete a separate survey for each lesson plan you pilot.
For each completed survey you will be entered in a draw for one of six $25 multi-use gift cards.
Thank you in advance for your input!
