The Lethbridge Steel women's football team is a member of the WWCFL. Our season runs from May to June with practices starting in March of each year. Women ages 16-55+ are eligible to join the team regardless of past experience.

Our Mission LSSA enables skaters of all ages and skill levels to participate in the sport of speed skating. FoodFit is a new program designed to bring people together to set goals, learn skills, and make measurable changes in overall health and fitness, with a focus on nutrition and exercise. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants cook, learn about nutrition, and participate in at least 30 minutes of walking or other physical activity. FoodFit expands our ability to impact healthy changes, and is designed to break down social barriers that pose significant challenges to achieving optimal health and wellness. The Lethbridge Fish and Game Association is a community organized to Advocate for Conservation, Education, Outdoor Recreation and Shooting Sports.  We offer programs that are low and no cost for new participants and supervised youth (up to their 18th birthday) may use the range at no cost.

West Wind Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven club. We provide athletes and club members with a safe, welcoming, challenging and fun environment where they can enjoy gymnastics activities.

We offer a variety of recreational programs from ages 18 months and up, including Parent and Tot, the CANGym badge program and Parkour. In addition to these programs, we offer birthday parties on the weekends, field trips for school groups, Christmas parties for families and businesses and adult classes.

Our competitive group is made up of both men’s and women’s pre-competitive and competitive athletes. They train hard so they can compete at competition all over Alberta and qualify for the Provincial Championships, Western Championships and National Championships.

The Stan Siwik Family Pool was constructed in 1974. Originally designed for synchronized swimming and diving programs, the pool has a rectangular 6 lane and 25 metre tank. There are two diving boards in full operation. A hot tub and fitness area were added during extensive renovations.

The Pool offers programs in condition swimming, open swim, aquajog, and other public programs such as senior, family and parent and tot swims. It also caters to school programs and swimming lessons during the winter season.

Spirit in Motion Yoga's studio is located in a small church in downtown Lethbridge, providing a quiet peaceful space to explore the inner work of yoga. We offer a limited number of smaller registered classes in Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Chronic Pain, Meditation and Stress Reduction. Each student is encouraged to listen to the wisdom of their own body, taking the time they need to connect to breath, and move with sensitivity and awareness in each moment.

A non-profit organization accommodating adults of Lethbridge and surrounding area, whose aim is to provide soccer in a fun and social environment. The mandate of S.O.F.A. is to provide a quality, affordable and fun environment for adults to play recreational soccer.

Representing minor football in Southern Alberta

The Southern Alberta Bow Hunter’s Association is an organization dedicated to archery and bow hunting as well as the community as a whole. The main goal, as stated in their mission statement, is to provide opportunities for all people to participate in archery in an effort to maintain a long-standing tradition of archery in the Southern Alberta area.

Located in Peenaquim Park is situated alongside the Old Man River. With eleven red shale diamonds, and plenty of open space to park, the facility lends itself to large multi-day tournaments. The clubhouse is located at the south-east corner of the park, and serves as the hub for meeting, organizing and socializing. A small ground-level theatre style room is used for meetings, while a large second floor room with adjoining outdoor balcony is ideal for concession and food service. Also, on site are four regulation size beach volleyball courts.

The Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre was constructed on the West Side of Lethbridge in 1982 and it includes a swimming pool and one sheet of ice. The Gyro Spray Park is located behind the Leisure Centre. The pool is rectangular in shape, 25 meters long with two slides and a rope. There is also a wading pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness area equipped with appropriate equipment. The emphasis in this facility is on a total family leisure concept and it caters mostly to the young.

Developing Elite Volleyball in Southern Alberta for Athletes – Coaches – Community

A registered Athletics Canada organization and have a long standing history in Lethbridge Alberta. We run introduction programs for athletes 10-12 years of age using the RUN, JUMP, THROW, WHEEL program which gives athletes an opportunity to be introduced to all the different Track and Field disciplines, developmental programs for speed, power, and distance for ages 13-18, and programs for ages 18+

Memberships are valid for one year. Fee are to be renewed on the 1st Saturday in May. Drop in and weekly guest rates apply to all users after this time.

Special Olympics Alberta’s mission is to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectual disability through sport. The vision is to provide individuals with an intellectual disability, of all ages and abilities, opportunity to realize their full athletic potential, with appropriate training, coaching and competitions, to develop life skills, a healthy body and self esteem.. Special Olympics Lethbridge provides this through the various sports programs we offer: 5-Pin Bowling; 10-Pin Bowling; Basketball, Bocce, Curling, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Golf, Powerlifting, Rythmic Gymnastics,Softball, Swimming, and Walking.

The club meets regularly for classes on Wednesday evenings (September to May) at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 1818 5 Ave S, Lethbridge, Alberta, at 7 pm. The final Wednesday of each month is a social evening with a set dance program and snacks provided by members of the club.  $30 for a membership.

We field a team in the Southern Alberta Men’s Second Division and in the Southern Alberta Women’s Premier Division as well as a range of mini rugby and school age programs.

Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm – new players are always welcome. Club “Family Dinner” on Thursdays after practice – $5.

This premiere event was initiated by all Rotary Clubs in Lethbridge and started with 17 crews on a windy June weekend in 2002. Our Festival has grown exponentially over the years; in 2013 we had 62 crews competing, 26 from out of town, 45 mixed, 16 women’s, 1 youth, and 5 breast cancer crews.

The Lethbridge Roller Derby Guild is a non-profit roller derby league in Lethbridge, Alberta. Estblished in 2010, it is home to the Deathbridge Derby Dames, the women's team, and the Windy City Wipeouts, the co-ed junior team.

Roller derby is a contact sport for all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities. The Lethbridge Roller Derby Guild's junior program is for boys and girls aged 8 to 17. Children will learn to safely skate, then work up to teamwork and contact.

In the adult program, you can train to become a member of the Deathbridge Derby Dames, playing full-contact games across western Canada.

Or, you can train to become a roller derby referee, after graduating from the adult skating program. As a referee you travel with the team and are part of the game day reffing crew.

The Lethbridge Oldtimer’s Sports Association is an adult recreational hockey and social organization established to promote fellowship and fair play within a safe environment for the mutual benefit of all its members.

The philosophy of the association is to provide and environment of non-contact, non-aggressive play for members participating in the game of hockey and to encourage and promote participation in Association activities and events by all members.

Only flat shoes/runners are needed everything else is supplied. Free lesson. $30.00/season.

Low Income Families may fill out an application at City Hall for subsidy.

Come and try it twice for free all you need are flat shoes or runners, bowls and everything else are supplied. The cost is $30.00 for the year. Students 11-18 year old are free.

We get together once a month for a potluck social evening. Twice a year we go to Medicine Hat for fun tournaments the club will pay for all your expenses.

If you are interested in being placed on a volleyball team or occasionly subbing for a team that is short next season, we can add you to our spares list. We play on Monday nights from September to March for 2 hours sometime between 6:00 and 11:15pm. We will touch base with all the spares once we know more information for next season. We try to host a Meet the Spares night early in September – this is a great opportunity for spares to meet team representatives and have a chance to be picked up full time by a team.

The Lethbridge Kyodokan Judo Club was founded by Yoshio Senda in 1952 and has been active, with Sensei Senda as head instructor and coach up until his passing on September 9, 2009. The club has a proud history, of which we will add more later. If you would like to read about the club, you can read the book Kyodokan: The story of the Kyodokan Judo Club and the founder, Dr. Yoshio Senda edited by Jane Senda.

Formed in the early 1970s the Lethbridge Horseshoe Club was very successful. By 1978 they hosted the Alberta Horseshoe pitching championship at Indian Battle Park. At that time there were 20 sets of pits and close to 200 players from around the province. By the mid-1980s the club moved from Indian Battle Park to Pavan Park on the north side of Lethbridge before the flood of 1995 wiped the pits out. Since the late 1990s, the Lethbridge Horseshoe Club has operated at its location next to the Japanese Gardens.

The Season runs the first of May and goes to the end of September.

The Lethbridge Skating Club offers skating lesson programs for ages 3 to adult throughout the year at three different arena locations in the City. All levels of skating are welcome from beginner to competitive figure skater. Offering a sense of community connecting coaches and ice-skating enthusiasts in Lethbridge since 1939.

Are you or your children interested in learning how to dive? We offer a variety of diving programs ranging from our beginner learn to dive program to a pre-competitive program for those individuals who have dive experience and would like to work towards competitions. Let our certified instructors show you how much fun diving can be. We currently have divers ranging in age from 6 to 65 years, so you are never too young or too old to experience diving.

From curling on ponds and sloughs in 1887, a two-sheeter with electric lights in 1895, a four-sheeter in 1910, to the modern facilities enjoyed today, the Lethbridge Curling Club has grown to meet the needs of an active curling community.
